Your purpose:
Lead the safe, efficient and compliant operation of all logistic services across organizational sites, ensuring continuity of business activities and optimizing supply chain performance in alignment with organizational and project objectives.
What will your challenges be?
Planning & Budgeting
Develop and manage annual and long-term logistics plans aligned with company strategy
Own logistics budget: forecasting, cost control, and reporting
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety
Prepare investment proposals for logistics improvements
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, coach, and develop a team of logistics professionals
Drive continuous improvement in logistics processes
Ensure alignment with internal policies and external partners
Foster skill development and career growth within the team
Health, Safety & Compliance
Promote and enforce safety, quality, and environmental standards
Ensure compliance with company rules and regulations
Identify and report risks, unsafe situations, and deviations
Contribute to a safe and responsible working environment
Logistics Operations
Oversee inbound/outbound transport (booking, tracking, documentation)
Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and service providers
Ensure compliance with transport and customs regulations (ADR, Incoterms, etc.)
Supervise warehouse operations (inventory, stock control, goods flow)
Lead logistics process improvements and supply chain projects
Manage risks and maintain contingency plans
Reporting & Stakehold Management
Deliver regular reports on performance, budget, risks, and opportunities
Represent logistics in management meetings, audits, and inspections
What do we ask for?
Fluency in English; Dutch proficiency is an advantage
HBO/Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field
Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in similar roles within a structural engineering environment – preferably within the maritime industry
Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in leadership and people management roles
Good knowledge of MS Office applications
You recognize yourself in the following competences: Customer orientation, Helicopter view, Decisiveness, Initiative
