Your purpose:
Lead and coordinate the commissioning phase for custom-built yachts, refits and fleet support, ensuring successful delivery to the owner’s representative in line with project objectives, contract requirements, and Oceanco standards
Take ownership of commissioning performance, driving alignment between all stakeholders and safeguarding quality, planning, and progress throughout the final project phase
What will your challenges be?
Develop and drive the overall commissioning planning, including shore trials and sea trials, ensuring alignment with project timelines and technical requirements
Drive commissioning progress, ensuring alignment across internal teams and co-makers while resolving planning and execution challenges
Inspect and accept delivered systems and installations, initiate corrective actions where required, and ensure timely follow-up and completion
Lead and guide the commissioning team, setting clear priorities and ensuring effective execution of all activities
Act as primary interface towards the owner’s representatives, ensuring clarity, alignment, and acceptance of systems and progress
Safeguard the yacht throughout the commissioning phase, ensuring safe execution of activities and preventing damage
Identify and mitigate risks impacting commissioning progress, safety, and delivery
Ensure structured communication by organising and leading progress meetings with internal teams and co-makers
Provide clear reporting on progress, deviations, risks, and improvements, and ensure proper documentation of all commissioning activities
What do we ask for?
Fluent in Dutch and/or English
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar technical discipline
Proven experience in shipbuilding, yacht building, or offshore industry
Proven extensive experience in commissioning, project execution, or engineering of complex technical systems
Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders
Proficient in MS Office applications and familiar with planning and reporting tools
You recognise yourself in the following competences: helicopter view, result orientation, planning and organizing, conflict management, quality-focused
